“Inspired by my mum and grandmother’s love of sewing, I fell in love with sewing and fabrics at a young age. As a teenager I worked in a fabric shop and at university I studied textile design. After working in the software industry, following a suggestion from a friend, I began making curtains and founded Chatelaine Interiors. Ten years on and I have a list of both trade and private clients; our commissions include country houses, boutique hotels, town houses and apartments. Based in our beautiful Lambourn Studio, I enjoy working with a team of dedicated and talented craftspeople, including a bespoke wire lampshade creator, an upholstery specialist and a local blacksmith who makes unique curtain poles. Here at Chatelaine Interiors, we specialise in creating high-quality, bespoke, hand-made soft furnishings. Handsewn Curtains

Some fabrics just don’t react well to being machine sewn. Our talented craftswomen are expert sewers and understand the intricacies of fabric and how they can be combined to complement the weave of the fabric you choose. We will find patterns, colours and textures that fit your own personal taste and we will also provide expert advice on styles that will look great in your home. Soft Furnishings are a great way to add texture and depth. With the vast number of fabric suppliers we work with specialising in many different fabrics such as Velvet, Cotton, Linen, Wool, Silk and more, you are bound to find something that you will fall in love with. We also work with a number of wonderful hardware suppliers to provide only the best poles, tracks and alternative solutions to your beautiful windows

All our handmade curtains get our teams full attention to ensure that each curtain lives up to our own very high standards. From the initial measuring up to the final fitting, we will make sure that each curtain is fully lined and weighted before being expertly finished.
